I'm Back

Yeah I know I made a promise to myself to continue blogging but there I go again, never able to keep promises which concern my blog. Anyway, I just came back from my Europe trip and it was superb! We went to 8 countries, namely Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium and France. My Hetalia fangirl mode was practically wild when I visited Italy and Switzerland. I have never even heard of Liechtenstein before Hetalia, and I have to thank the author for introducing me to the country. Of all the countries I love Switzerland the most because I got to see real snow at Mt. Titlis! Many other highlights were like the many visits to different cathedrals, a visit to the red light district at Amsterdam (gasps!!) and watching a live cabaret in Paris (we got to see half naked girls strutting their stuff at the cabaret), the beautiful windmills in the Netherlands and many more.

And the food was oh so heavenly. We had the chance to experience an original Tuscanny dinner, Swiss fondue, Black Forest lunch and an exotic French cuisine at the cabaret. (yummy escargots, which are actually snails for those of you who have not heard of the term before...) And we ate chocolates, chocolates and more chocolates (yup, that means everyone of us has put on a few pounds after this trip)

My sister posted her full journal entries at her blog (All of us kept journals to chronicle our experiences), but as for me, I don't think I am capable of doing that because all my journal entries were very long and we actually spent 14 days there. If you want to see more pictures of the trip you can visit her blog for more details.

I am very jetlagged now and I miss the food from Europe so much. My sister says she feels miserable cos the trip has ended and she has finished reading and watching all her favourite manga and anime so she feels rather empty now, like a BIG chunk of her is missing. So now she is immersing herself in anything concerning the boy band SHINee. Gosh.

I am looking forward to next week because we are going to have a family gathering in KL. Though it's a real pity Nadiah's family wouldn't be able to join us for our Christmas celebration due to some really personal reasons. My mum has bought an electric grill so that we can grill our food during Christmas. :)

I did really bad for my Chemistry this time :(

I was totally lost when I attended Add Maths tuition on Wednesday. Guess missing two weeks of lessons isn't a good thing. I couldn't remember anything Pn Tan taught us concerning the 1st chapter of the Form 5 syllabus..But I sort of got back on track halfway through the session, thanks to Kah Min's notes which she borrowed me earlier on. Thank you very much. :)

Au revoir and merci for reading my post ^_^

Singapore Trip

On the 27th of August, Elaine, Lee Ting, my sister, and me went on a day trip to Singapore. Lee Ting and Elaine had actually come to stay for the night before our trip. It was a really fun experience cos none of them had actually slept over at their friend's house before. We chit chatted until the wee hours about the upcoming trip and what we liked to dress..Typical girl talk..haha

My mom fetched all of us first thing in the morning to Singapore. We had breakfast at Mcdonald's. I even put an extra Hash Brown in my bag. After that, we went to the Immigration Centre to renew our Permanent Residential status before proceeding to the Science Centre. My mom went to work after that. We had the 'golden opportunity' to ride the MRT to Orchard Road, but we were all drenched when we reached the MRT station cos we had only one umbrella. We looked like really sesated people running across the streets..haha..And one of my shoe straps just had to break on that day. My feet were all black after that.

Anyways, we reached Orchard safely. It was a rather long ride. We walked and walked until our feet were all sore. My sis had a few blisters too, but it was really fun. Our lunch was pastries and bread from this rather posh bakery at Ion Orchard. It was real good. Lee Ting also bought lots of food when we walked round the place. We were walking pass Wisma Atria and we saw this *ehem* rather seedy place which sells, you guess it, condoms. It was called the "House of Condoms". And we even passed by that place a few times. There was even a warning saying that only people above 21 could enter..LOL..

Our trip ended with a wonderful dinner at Bakerzin's. It was really tiring to be walking all over the place, but I enjoyed myself very much. It was our first time hanging out together in Singapore. I hope we can have more outings in the near future.
